My Personal Experience
I found Career Services invaluable.
As a nervous sophomore, I remember feeling completely lost about my career path. I decided to book an appointment with a career counselor named Sarah, and it was one of the best decisions I made during my time at UMD.
Sarah’s Guidance
Sarah helped me identify my strengths and interests. We discussed different engineering fields and explored potential career options I hadn’t even considered. She really listened to me.
She also helped me craft a compelling resume. I had a very basic resume before, but Sarah showed me how to highlight my skills and experiences in a way that would catch the attention of employers. I learned to quantify my achievements, which made a huge difference.
